Cornwall Refugee Resource Network

Cornwall Refugee Resource Network (CRRN) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which works with organisations and individuals across Cornwall to campaign for change, improve services and ensure equity for refugees, asylum seekers and individuals from other migration backgrounds.

We were established at All Saints Highertown Church in Truro in 2016, initially known as the Cornwall Refugee Resettlement Network, to co-ordinate support, donations and befriending for Syrian families resettled in Cornwall via the national Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme.

In 2018, we renamed ourselves the Cornwall Refugee Resource Network to reflect that our support, information, advice and guidance is not solely restricted to individuals on resettlement schemes. We work with asylum seekers, refugees and increasingly migrant workers, from a diverse and wide range of migration backgrounds. We were constituted as a CIO in 2019.

Our Charitable Objectives

  • Relief of financial hardship among refugees and asylum seekers in Cornwall.

  • Promoting equality and diversity through the co-ordination of activities and events to foster understanding and good relations throughout communities across Cornwall.

  • Promoting social inclusion for refugees and asylums by co-ordinating services and facilities to assist integration into a new community.

  • Raising awareness locally of the issues faced by refugees and asylum seekers through education and the promotion of human rights.

  • Relief and assistance of refugees and asylum seekers beyond the United Kingdom through the provision of emergency aid and volunteer time.
