Want to get involved in Refugee Week 2026 in Cornwall?

Over the last few months, at CRRN we have been hosting regular meetings for community partners and individuals interested in hosting events for Refugee Week 2026

Refugee Week is an international festival that celebrates refugees and people seeking sanctuary, with over 2 million participants each year. From film screenings to exhibitions, radio shows and sports events, the possibilities are endless.

This year, Refugee Week lands between the 15th and 21st of June and is focused on a theme of Courage. It’s not too late to get involved:

  • If you are hosting an event please register it on the Refugee Week website and list the city as ‘Cornwall’. From here, at CRRN we will share your event with our audience. Feel free to contact us if you need any support or advice.

  • You can also get involved by engaging with the Simple Acts part of Refugee Week, which encourages you to take part in small acts which add up to big changes. Share what you have done as part of a social media movement and make sure to tag us @cornwallrrn too!

  • Or look up an event happening near you. There are over 10 events across Cornwall already planned. Keep an eye on the Cornwall part of the Refugee Week website as these events get posted over the coming weeks.

  • You can also screen the Refugee Week Film Festival and listen to Refugee Week on the air for free from home throughout the week.

  • Alternatively, you can donate or fundraise in support of refugees in Cornwall. Visit our ‘Support Us’ page to find out more!
